Many Species. One Planet. One Future.

Rebecca Petzel · April 22, 2010

noname-1Many species, one planet, one future is the theme of this year’s World Environment Day.

Luckily, with community members like Parrys Raines (aka climate girl) our future is in good hands.

Parry’s was one of our very first Myoo Create members, and she is representing the Youth Accord for Biodiversity: a statement drafted by youth across the globe, which will be presented to global leaders in Japan this fall. This an inspiring collective effort of youth around the globe to stand up and create the future they want. You can learn more, and support them by voting and signing the accord here: http://www.biodiversitymatters.org/youth_accord.html

After you’ve signed the youth accord, and thanked Climate Girl for all she does (did we mention she’s 14 years old?), come on back and participate in the International Year of Biodiversity right here on Myoo Create. National Geographic, Adventure Ecology, and the United Nations World Environment Day are running a photo contest to highlight innovative efforts to safeguard our irreplacable natural capital and support a thriving future rich in biodiversity. The contest is open now- and crowd voting helps determine the winners- so check out all the great photos so far, and submit your own photo! http://myoocreate.com/challenges/2
